Wine Review: This deep purple colored Zinfandel from Carol Shelton opens with a fragrant peach and raisin bouquet with hints of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and juicy. The flavor profile is a jammy black raspberry and ripe peach blend notes of stony minerality. I also detected hints of raisin and oak in the mix. The finish is dry, and its managed mild tannins are nicely hidden behind the lingering fruit flavors. This Zinny Zin is a fruit bomb. Fans of this style will love it. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep spicy jammy berry, rich chocolatey oak, layers of loveliness! Juicy razzberry jam in mouth, bright acidity and good structure for aging. This baby packs everything that Zin should be and much more!
