Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored wine opens with a fragrant blueberry and coconut bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and mineral blend with notes of integrated toasted coconut and black tea. I also pick up some hints of ripe black cherry at the very end. The finish is rather dry and its dusty tannins are rather sticky and last for a very long time. This Petite Sirah is still very young for a 2014. This wine would benefit from decanting before serving it with a New York strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
