Wine Review: This pitch black colored Petite Sirah opens with an inviting Maine blueberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry with notes of black plum and oak. A little minerality and strawberry licorice show up towards the end. The finish is dry and its medium tannins and acidity are well-managed and fade away nicely. This wine is a very food friendly Petite Sirah that would pair nicely with a butterflied filet mignon with hollandaise sauce. Enjoy - Ken
