Wine Review: This ruby colored Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Argentina is intensely aromatic. Its bouquet features graphite and pomegranate aromas with hints of craisin, red plum and moist pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, silky smooth, bright, and savory. The flavor profile is a graphite and slightly tart cherry blend with notes of cocoa powder and black currant. I also detected hints of black tea, oak, and kookaburra black licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins show nice length. This rustic style offering would pair well with smoked brisket burnt ends. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep velvety red color with intense ruby hues. Very fruity and fresh on the nose, with aromas of red fruit, strawberry, and black currant. On the palate, the wine is long, well-balanced, and pleasant, with refined tannins and generous flavors of red berries.
