Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Malbec and Cabernet blend from Argentina opens with a new leather and cedar bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused tart black cherry and oak blend. I also detected hints of nutmeg, cinnamon and plum. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine needs food and would pair well with a hearty stew. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep colour with ruby and violet hints. The nose presents aromas of cloves, white pepper, and raspberry. The sleek chocolate and tobacco finish has a pleasant racy edge. On the palate, the tannins are velvety with a long-lasting finish. Layer upon layer of refined flavors and lingering acidity can be appreciated after the bottle has been opened. This well-balanced, well-defined wine can be drunk now, but will open up with more time.
