Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark purple colored wine opens with a very fragrant red currant and red raspberry bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, shows some elevated acidity, yet remains round and smooth in the mouth. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant with notes of blackberry and oak. There is also a touch of black licorice mixed in. The finish is dry with moderate tannins. Its old oak flavors continue to linger in the aftertaste. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Syrah. Maceration of between 25 and 28 days is followed by 4 months’ aging in French oak barrels. Dry and mineral with hints of black pepper, ripe red fruits and licorice. Pleasant and persistent finish with balanced tannins that open up in a broad finish.
