Wine Review: This opaque and dark red colored blend from Capture opens with a mild red plum and cranberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and refined. The flavor profile is similar to the nose with red fruits like plum, pomegranate and mild cranberry. I also detected hints of oak mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins show nice length and stick around longer than most 2014’s. This wine would pair nicely with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A Bordeaux-style blend, Innovant captures the elegance and distinct character of Sonoma County terroir. Carefully selected lots of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from our Alexander Valley vineyards offer aromas of bright red fruits and spice. Flavors of blueberry and peppercorn combined with silky, elegant tannins give this wine a structured, long finish.
