Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Red Mountain in Washington performed well in front of the Tasting Panel. It opens with a strawberry bouquet with hints of red raspberry, caramel and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft and juicy. The flavor profile is red plum with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of strawberry and mocha. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger for quite some time. The Panel suggested pairing this Cab with pheasant or grilled pork chop. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Embodying our finest blocks and barrels of wine from the exceptional 2014 growing season, this is a beautifully layered wine with ripe, polished tannins, voluminous fruit and a seamless mouthfeel. On the nose, precise black cherry and berry aromas mingle with perfumed hints of lily and honeysuckle, as well as oak-inspired notes of mocha, salted caramel and cardamom. The palate is rich and mouthfilling, with flavors of brown sugar, anise, tobacco leaf and cedar underscoring voluptuous layers of robust mountain fruit that carry through to a long, intense finish.
