Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend from Cantadora opens with an inviting strawberry and raspberry bouquet with hints of red licorice, oak, and spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and juicy. The flavor profile is stone dust and red plum blend with notes of saline and green tomato. We also detected hints of spice, red cherry, and milk chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors and dusty tannins are very extended. We would pair this red blend with roasted garlic chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: My favorite wines to drink at home are Grenache based Southern Rhone Blends. It’s been a mission of mine to develop the California version that suits my palate as well as our gorgeous weather. This one makes me smile every time I open it, so I think I’m close. It is a juicy blend of Grenache’s abundant red fruits, Mourvèdre’s dark and brooding blue fruits, and a luscious bit of Syrah color and silky tannins on the finish. The result is a wine brimming with raspberry and chocolate flavors. It makes me so joyful to drink this wine, I hope you feel the same. It will continue to open and evolve its tannin structure for years to come. 10% of sales are donated to the Southwest Community Corporation (A neighborhood center with a focus on serving older adults based in San Francisco)
