Wine Review: This ruby colored Tempranillo from Cantadora opens with dark chocolate and moist pipe tobacco bouquet with hints of boysenberry, cedar, and baking spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is cherry and gentle cedar blend with notes of stony minerality, nutmeg and bay leaf. We also detected some hints of chocolate and plum. The finish is dry, and its well-managed tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Tempranillo with a pot roast or a rack of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP
