Wine Review: This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Cannonball opens with a very tropical and fragrant bouquet. Aromas of guava, pineapple and Honeydew melon rise from the glass. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and round. The flavor profile is Granny Smith apple and Honeydew melon blend with notes of integrated oak. I also tasted hints of butterscotch as it faded away. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Chard would pair well with a lobster roll. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The aroma displays honeycomb, baked apple, pastry crust, and honeysuckle notes. Soft, medium weight palate unfurls layers of flavor of crushed pineapple, lemon curd, cantaloupe melon, and brioche toast. A lively streak of acid prevails on the finish. Perfect with seafood, chicken, and your favorite cheeses.
