Wine Review: This ruby red Spanish wine opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with hints of black cherry and new leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is an austere tart black cherry with notes cranberry, boysenberry, and minerality. There is also some oak nicely intertwined throughout. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate grippy tannins drifts away nicely. This wine is food friendly and would pair nicely with a cast-iron skillet fried skirt steaks with shallot butter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, with 8% Petit Verdot, aged for one year in French oak and four years in bottle before release. A concentrated wine with soft, ripe tannins, the Petit Verdot noticeably enhancing complexity.
