Wine Review: The dark garnet colored blended wine from Bolgheri opens with a pleasant black cherry bouquet with hints of espresso and faint earthy compost. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tart black cherry and oak blend with note of creme de cassis, black tea, chalky minerality. The finish is rather dry and its firm sticky tannins build-up to a very extended finish. The Panel suggested decanting this wine and then pairing it with roasted leg of lamb or a Bistecca alla Fiorentina (aka Florentine porterhouse steak). Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Intense small red berry fruit with hints of violet and balsamic. Great acidity and a velvet sensation. Soft tannins with a long and persistent finish. Pairs well with roasts and stews.
