Wine Review: This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Cambria opens with a mild pineapple and light lemon bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, very smooth, lush, and creamy. The flavor profile is a spiced Bartlett pear and stony minerality blend with notes of green apple and white pepper. I also detected hints of mild pineapple, lemon verbena, chamomile tea and gentle oak. The finish is dry and flavors and nice acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this chard with a roasted garlic chicken. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Katherine's Vineyard Chardonnay is an ocean influenced, single vineyard expression of "refrigerated sunshine" in a glass – layered, elegant, distinct. The 2021 displays fresh fruit and floral aromas that dominate the nose and palate; white peach, lemon zest, pear, granny smith apple and citrus blossoms. The oak influence creates a nice mid-palate that balances nicely with the bright acidity that lingers. - Jill Russell, Winemaker.
