Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a funky oak, wax, petrol, and faint pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between it fruit and acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty mild vanilla oak and pear blend with hints of faint pineapple and gentle minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors stick around for some time. This Chardonnay would pair well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2012 Katherine's Vineyard Chardonnay has subtle tropical and citrus aromas with pineapple, stonefruit and apple flavors. Oak and vanilla balance out the flavors on the palate. Nicely balanced with weight on the mid-palate leading into a crisp, fresh finish. Try our Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay with crab and lobster, shrimp, fried calamari, and grilled salmon. It also pairs well with Cow’s milk cheeses such as mild cheddar, Comte, Gruyere, Brie and Camembert.
