Wine Review: This deep garnet colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with an inviting gentle black cherry and mild black raspberry bouquet with hints of lead pencil and rye toast. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and dense with nice tension. The flavor profile is tasty black plum and graphite blend with notes of black licorice and milk chocolate. We also detected hints of black tea and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate grippy tannins stick around for a very long time. We would pair this Pinot with a crispy duck with a spicy plum sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
