Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Calera is very good. It opens with a very inviting mild raspberry and gentle teaberry bouquet with hints of cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a very appealing blend of mild red raspberry and black cherry with notes of mild cedar and cola. I also detected hints of vanilla. The finish has mild tannins and fades away nicely. I would pair this tasty Pinot with your favorite carnitas recipe. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This beautifully vibrant Pinot Noir draws you in with alluring aromas of ripe blackberry, cedar and nutmeg. On the supple and energetic palate, flavors of black cherry, cola and vanilla glide across silky tannins to a long, focused finish.
