Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a lingonberry and rose petal bouquet with hints of red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and lush with some nice tension. The flavor profile is red plum and green tea blend with notes black pepper and minerality. We also detected some hints of loam, cedar, and gentle mushroom. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and integrated fine tannins are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with veal medallions with a mushroom sauce, mushroom risotto or with lamb lollipops. Enjoy โ KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This gracefully luxurious and dark-fruited expression of Pinot Noir draws you in with aromas of blackberry, briar patch, soft leather and allspice. On the palate, notions of juicy blueberry and black raspberry are framed by velvety tannins, with hints of nutmeg and cracked pepper emerging on the long, complex finish.
