Wine Review: This light ruby colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a Dentyne gum and muddled mint bouquet with hints of cherry-cola. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and super smooth. The flavor profile is red plum and cinnamon blend with notes of light oak, cherry-cola, and mint. We also detected hints of stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and rounded medium tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Pinot with a porterhouse steak at your favorite steak house. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Located at an elevation of 2,200 feet, the prized old vines of Mills Vineyard produced a vivacious Pinot Noir in the exceptional 2021 growing season, with potent aromas of pomegranate, strawberry, and cedar. On the palate, this wine is elegant and alluring, with silky tannins and pure, flowing flavors of black cherry, black currant, and notions of stone fruits.
