Wine Review: This cranberry red colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a teaberry and dried strawberry bouquet with hints of bayberry, rhubarb, and red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with notes of medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is a spiced red plum and cherry blend with notes of cinnamon and clove. We also picked up some hints of cedar and dried herbs. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate refined tannins are nicely extended. This Pinot would pair well with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: At more than 20 years of age, the beautifully mature vines of Ryan Vineyard have produced a stunning wine with enticing aromas of Rainier cherry, lavender, yellow plum, and raspberry. On the plush palate, supple tannins and luxurious flavors of blackberry and cherry cola emerge, with hints of black pepper lingering throughout a long, complex finish.
