Wine Review: This translucent and medium garnet colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a mushroom, Dr. Pepper, and mild red raspberry bouquet with a hint of cranberry, tobacco, and black tea. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with notes of moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, creamy, and delicate. The flavor profile is black raspberry and Dr. Pepper blend with notes of mushroom and oak. We also detected hints of strawberry, green tea, and fine minerality. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this charming Pinot with cherry amaretto chicken or with lamb lollipops. Enjoy – KWGTP
