Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay opens with a fragrant ripe bartlett pear bouquet with hints of oak, pineapple, and lemon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, dense and concentrated. The flavor profile is an oak influenced apple with notes of fig and banana. I also detected hints of pineapple and quince. The finish is dry, and its rich flavors linger and last for a very long time. I would pair this Chard with sherry laced lobster bisque. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Grown high on the limestone-rich soils of Mt. Harlan, this beautifully aromatic wine displays enticing layers of Honeycrisp apple, peach, and fresh brioche. The apple and stone fruit layers are echoed on the lush, mouthcoating palate, with undercurrents of cedar, wet stone and spice adding nuance and complexity to a long, resonant finish.
