Wine Review: This clear medium ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a cola and cherry bouquet with hints of cinnamon and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and slightly juicy. The flavor profile is a black plum and stony mineral blend with notes of strawberry rhubarb, oak, clove, and nutmeg. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Tasting Panel felt this wine benefits from air and time. We would decant it and then pair it with a pork tenderloin or veal Milanese with mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Planted in 1984, at an elevation of 2,200 feet, Mills Vineyard consistently yields an effortlessly complex wine that strikes a lovely balance between elegance and energy. Offering the classic red berry and cherry flavors that Mills is known for, along with deeper layers of lush black fruit, thyme and white pepper, there is a graceful suppleness to this wine that carries it to a sleek, focused finish.
