Wine Review: This pale garnet colored Pinot Noir opens with an incredibly inviting wild blueberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with pleasant acidity. We also found it to be well-balanced, polished and refined. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry and blueberry blend with notes of oak. We also detected some nicely integrated hints of vanilla-cola and minerality. The finish is dry and it flavors and well-managed tannins sail away nicely. The Panel would drink this seamless and really special Pinot on its own. With food, we would pair it with a red wine and mushroom pork tenderloin or steamed bao buns with hoisin duck. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: At more than 40 years old, the coveted old vines of Jensen Vineyard have produced a stunning wine that offers depth, elegance and layered complexity. Luxurious aromas of ripe black cherry, cinnamon, cola and spice leap from the glass. On the lush, mouthcoating palate, supple tannins and juicy blackberry and cherry flavors carry the wine to a rich, focused finish.
