Wine Review: This light red colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a strawberry bouquet with hints of red raspberry, musk and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied and juicy with vibrant acidity. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced strawberry with hints of strawberry rhubarb, red plum and caramel. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors linger. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with grilled salmon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: In 2015, our appreciation for the complexity of wines from the Santa Cruz Mountains, led us to Muns Vineyard. In 2017, this windswept mountain vineyard has produced a beautifully structured wine with enlivening acidity and supple, balanced tannins. On the palate, flavors of ripe raspberry, cherry and fruit punch mingle with hints of root beer and anise, driving the wine to a bright, sophisticated finish.
