Wine Review: This straw-colored Viognier from Calera opens with a fragrant dried apricot and orange bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, pleasantly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty clementine and ripe honeydew melon blend with notes of dried apricot and a hint of honey towards the end. The finish is a tad off-dry and fades away nicely. This Viognier is food friendly and would pair well with Emeril's crab cakes. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Crafted using a combination of neutral French oak barrels, stainless steel and concrete egg, this complex and alluring Viognier offers vivacious aromas of acacia, jasmine, and Meyer lemon. On the palate, flavors of zesty peach and lemon meringue glide to a bright and focused finish.
