Wine Review: The pale yellowed Chardonnay from Calera made a great impression on the Tasting Panel. It opens with an appealing mild lemon custard and banana bouquet with hints of nectarine and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty mild vanilla oak and gentle pear blend with a hint of pineapple and white grapefruit. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Chard with a seafood casserole. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Bright and sophisticated, with lovely weight and a lush, mouthcoating texture, this wine begins with enticing aromas of Asian pear, toasted brioche and lemon zest. On the palate, flavors of Key lime pie and cumquat are supported by beautifully integrated French oak and a streak of acidity that adds poise and length to this elegant Chardonnay.
