Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a black cherry bouquet with a hint of red raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a black raspberry and oak blend with hints of minerality, black cherry and black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins stick around for a little while. This nicely structured Pinot would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2011 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir displays earthy, fresh cherry and red raspberry aromas accented by notes of sandalwood and mineral. Medium-bodied and supple on the palate, with fine tannins, the wine delivers juicy black cherry, red currant and black raspberry flavors that persist throughout a long, lively finish featuring bright acidity and a refreshing minerality. Rich, yet elegantly styled, this delicious Pinot Noir will drink beautifully over the next 3-5 years.
