Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from CHEV opens with a very fragrant pomegranate and rhubarb bouquet with hints of craisin, violet and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with lively plus acidity. The mouthfeel is zesty, lush, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is a pomegranate and black pepper blend with notes of red licorice and loam. We also detected hints of black cherry, cedar, and cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its if flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. This Pinot benefits from some aeration. After decanting, the Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a with duck confit and red onion jam on a toasted crostini. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Nose: Deep red plum notes interwoven with bright cherry and mist of tangerine peel.
Mouth: Bursting cranberry and ripe black cherry are gracefully accented with freshly baked gingersnaps and vibrant flavors of blood orange citrus. Richly concentrated with layers of complexity and a luxurious texture of plush red velvet, complemented by seamlessly integrated tannins and balanced acidity.
Recommended Drinking Age: Three to five years after release although will age gracefully over the next 10 years when properly cellared. Should you wish to enjoy sooner, we recommend decanting for an hour.
