Wine Review: This deep purple colored Pinot Noir from CHEV is impressive! It opens with a pleasant black plum bouquet with hints of spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty spiced plum and red cherry blend with notes vanilla, oak and hints of gentle cola. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Russian River Pinot would pair well with an ultimate garlic pork loin roast. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of violet, hibiscus, and dried rose petals along with subtle notes of light earth, ripe cherry, allspice and aged tobacco leaf. It displays layers of black cherry, dark plum and lightly candied apple. A mouth-watering red-velvety texture, with lively acidity, a combination of soft and grippy tannins and a full mouth finish, centered on the mid-palate. Ideal 3-5 years after release, although it will age gracefully over the next 10 years properly cellared. Should you wish to enjoy sooner, we recommend decanting for two to three hours.
