Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah opens with a barnyard, cedar and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and very smooth for a Petite Sirah. The flavor profile is a blueberry and cedar blend with hints of black cherry and espresso. The finish is dry and its tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. You can see why they held this wine back. That said, the palate is smooth. So, decant this Petite Sirah and serve it with a well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A top note of boysenberry jam leads into an inky and dense nose. Licorice, chocolate, tobacco and savory herbs with a touch of garrigue and tar on the palate. This is a full-bodied wine with well-integrated tannins.
