Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Merlot from Napa Valley opens with a black raspberry and licorice bouquet with a hint of musty oak and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty oak influenced mild black cherry with notes of black pepper and minerality with a hint of strawberry. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger and last for a while. The Panel suggested pairing this Merlot with a bacon and Swiss burger with sautéed mushrooms or braised short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Dark, ruby red in color with gorgeous aromas of cherry, lavender, rose, blackberry, plum, and sasparilla. The generous flavors are juicy, dense, and persistent with a core of cherry, plum, chocolate-covered strawberry, and notes of baking spices.
