Wine Review: This midnight violet colored Syrah from Burgess was very well received by the Tasting Panel and was one of top scoring wines in our recent Blind Tasting. This wine opens with a fragrant blueberry bouquet with notes of leather, red cherry and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is blueberry with notes of cedar and minerality. We also detected hints of espresso and cola. The finish is dry and its flavors drifts away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Syrah with a filet mignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our Syrah is elegant, structured, and balanced. Inky amethyst and deep plum in color. Rich, juicy flavors of blackberry, blueberry and boysenberry with savory herb aromas such as herbs de Provence and Garrigue. A long finish of cocoa and supple tannins. Our Syrah is enchanting by itself or with food. This wine is our most versatile.
