Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Grenache from Burgess is impressive. It opens with an appealing blueberry bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild cassis and blueberry blend with hints of cola, oak and nicely integrated mild minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins are nicely extended and a little sticky. This Grenache is food friendly and would pair nicely with Emeril's chateaubriand with bearnaise sauce and chateau potatoes and a side of red beets. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine has vibrant aromas of cherry and strawberry with hints of dried flowers, savory herbs, and a dash o f white pepper. The perfect balance of acid and soft tannins compliments the silky smooth texture and flavors of cherry cola and black currents.
