Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon comes in a monster bottle that feels like a magnum. It opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with notes of craisin. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a black currant and dark chocolate blend with notes of black cherry and oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and spice. The finish is dry and its well-managed moderate tannins build up a little and linger for quite some time. This Cab went well with our marinated grilled steak tips from the Alpine Butcher. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Enticing aromas of currants and cranberries spring from the glass in this rich and luxurious wine. Flavors of blueberry and strawberry coat the palate with hints of cocoa and a touch of cardamom on the finish. This is a full-bodied wine with fine grained tannins and a long and intense finish.
