Wine Review: This light red colored Nebbiolo is Excellent. It opens with a fragrant and attractive black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth and silky. The flavor profile is a tasty mild cherry with notes of gentle oak, plum and mild mineralty. You will also notice the tannins enter the mid-palate, but they do not interfere with the fruit. Then comes the finish, that is rather dry and while its tannins are huge now, they are well-managed and last for a very long time. I would decant this Barbaresco in the near term and enjoy it with a well-marbled cowboy ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine, dedicated to Bruno's mother, Maria Adelaide, is produced from a selection of the best grapes of our vineyards. Color: Deep garnet red Nose: Wide with black fruit (blackberries, cherries, plums, black cherries) and blood orange, scents of flowers (violet, rose), spices and mint. Flavour: Mouth filling, warm and elegant, very long and persistent with overtones confirming aromas perceived on the nose with a hint of cocoa.
