Wine Review: This pitch black colored Petit Verdot opens with a very inviting stewed plum and old oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a Baker's unsweetened chocolate, plum and black tea blend with subtle hints of black cherry and oak. The finish is dry and its dusty moderate tannins show nice length as they drift off. This is a fireplace wine for a cold winters night. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Full bodied and very dark color to this Petit Verdot, with aromas of cigar box and Van cherry lead into rich structure that is leather and spice forward. Drying tannins linger with sweet toasty oak and a hint of black olive.
