Wine Review: This very dark purple colored wine opens with a ripe black cherry bouquet with hints of wintergreen and a touch of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and very easy going. The flavor profile is a blend of blackberry and plum with a good helping of black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins fade away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and quaffable. It would pair perfectly with a grilled barbecue chicken sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A medium bodied colour but with lovely vibrant purple hues. Lifted red berry cabernet fruit aromas. Background sweet oak adds to the arresting bouquet. These fruit characters follow through to the palate along with sweet Merlot and dark cherry Shiraz flavours. Again low oak impact but ripe fruit tannins provide length and balance. A drink now style that will further soften with medium term bottle maturation. Excellent fruit flavours and balance being the features that will be maintained under the screw cap packaging. Foodmatches include: Rich seafoods, pasta, and light meat dishes.
