Wine Review: This opaque dark ruby colored Shiraz opens with a very inviting blueberry bouquet with a hint of oak, smoke, and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth as silk, and juicy. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry and blackberry blend with notes of gentle minerality and nicely integrated oak. The finish is dry and its refined tannins are smooth and very friendly. This wine is really impressive and would be perfect with a filet mignon. Enjoy and share with someone special. - Ken
Winemaker Notes: With a higher proportion of old vine fruit in the blend; the aroma has richness to it from the newer oak and more concentrated fruit. Bright red cherry fruit and background charry oak, with the oak giving a slight sweet vanillin note. A perfect supple, medium bodied palate – as it should be. Earthy sweet red fruit characters and soft tannins that carry to the end. The oak is evident but sits well with the fruit.
