Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with mild blackberry and gentle black cherry bouquet with hints of black currant, violets, and cedar. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, round, rich, and intense. The flavor profile is concentrated stewed plum and oak blend with notes of graphite. We also detected hints of blackberry and black currant. The finish is dry, and its big and bold tannins stick around for a very long time. We would decant this Cab for quite some time before pairing it with braised short ribs or Roy’s rib roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Brandon Gregory estate Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from two vineyard blocks in our Brookshire Vineyard in Knights Valley, chosen by winemaker Julien Fayard to express the vineyard's unique soils. The blend represents a strict barrel selection of our Cabernet Sauvignon lots of clone 337 and the Montelena clone. The 2021 vintage of Brandon Gregory estate Cabernet Sauvignon comes charging out of the gate with an expressive nose of vibrant red cherry, ripe blackberry, purple flowers, and crème de cassis. The palate is full-bodied and expansive with layers of fruit and crushed red pepper woven within velvety-textured tannins. There's enough acidity to keep this wine of powerful structure beautifully balanced.
