Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Brandlin opens with a fresh cantaloupe and lemon pith bouquet with hints of white florals, lychee, and orange blossom. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, refined, and delicate. The flavor profile is mild grapefruit and gentle stony minerality blend with notes of light lime-lemon and saline. We also detected hints of Anjou pear and honeydew melon. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this food friendly Sauvignon Blanc with a grilled halibut or crab cocktail. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2023 Brandlin Estate Sauvignon Blanc bursts with vibrant aromas of grapefruit, white peach, lime zest, and a touch of jasmine. On the palate, it’s fresh and lively, offering a zesty mix of lemon curd and grapefruit, balanced by a bright, mineral-driven finish that reflects the cool mountain climate of Mt. Veeder. This Sauvignon Blanc's creamy texture comes from careful barrel aging, which enriches the wine's smooth mid-palate and highlights the ripe stone fruit notes that linger beautifully on the finish.
