Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Brandlin opens with a fragrant black currant and red Twizzler bouquet with hints of cedar, wet clay, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round and fruit forward. The flavor profile is black currant and blackberry blend with notes of gentle oak and graphite. We also detected hints of chai tea that linger on the finish. The finish is quite dry, and its flavors, acidity, and chunky tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine in the near term before pairing it with well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: 2021 produced wines brimming with an unmistakable verve and freshness that immediately captivate when savoring this wine. Opening with enticing aromas of violets, blackcurrant, blackberry and bilberry, the palate reveals a burst of black and blue fruits, interlaced with notes of black tea, black plum, mocha, and a mineral touch of slate. This wine boasts a full-bodied and robust character, infused with the ethereal essence of Mount Veeder, rendering it brambly and briary. It’s a wine that promises to age gracefully in the cellar for the next two decades.
