Wine Review: This ruby colored Sangiovese based wine from Brancaia is very good. It opens with an inviting mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry and cedar blend with notes of oolong tea. I also detected hints of black plum and loam. The finish is dry and is refined dusty tannins are nicely extended. This easy to drink Italian wine would pair nicely with Italian braciole. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense, medium to full-bodied wine. Long bouquet of cherry, black fruit and a continuum of spice, leather, tar, and tilled earth. The mouthfeel is equal parts structured, fresh and succulent. Perfect with grilled meat, roast or braised beef and veal, stewed dishes, and pasta dishes with strong tasting sauces.
