Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Zinfandel opens with a pretty blueberry and mild blackberry bouquet with a hint of anise and pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with hints of juicy blueberry and very nicely integrated mild vanilla oak and a touch of dark chocolate and black pepper. The finish is dry, a touch hot and its mild tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well Mr. P's barbecue pulled pork or a pork tenderloin with an apricot and peach demi-glace. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Black raspberry and spice leap from the glass, and the palate expands with layers of dark fruits and a hint of sweet herb.
