Wine Review: This pale purple colored Châteauneuf-du-Pape opens an inviting wild strawberry shortcake with whip cream bouquet with a hint of cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, round, and well-balanced. The flavor profile is stony minerality, mild stewed red plum and dried strawberry blend with notes of hibiscus tea and red licorice. We also detected some hints of white pepper as well. The finish is dry and its tannins build-up and last for a long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this impressive CDP with a N.Y. strip steak or marinated grilled hanger steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A nice shiny red color with dark purple highlights. The nose is elegant and complex. This very aromatic Chateauneuf du Pape is elegant and long in the mouth. A powerful wine with a cellar potential for many years.
