Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Italian wine opens with a musty oak, ash and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a gentle old oak infused black cherry and red licorice blend with a hint plum. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Intense ruby-red with tints of garnet. Bouquet: Spice and dark fruit. Taste: Well balanced, with flavors of wild berries on the finish. Excellent with roasts, stews, rich pastas and aged cheeses.
