Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Boen is a very good wine and a terrific value. It opens with a fragrant strawberry and red cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth and creamy for a Pinot. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry-cola with notes of black pepper. I also detected hints of blueberry. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This tasty Pinot would be a perfect pairing for Theresa's meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense aromas of cherry, dark chocolate, coconut, black licorice and a hint of toast, along with smoked meat, blueberry and barrel spice. The palate is lush with a raisin and dried strawberry character layered with cola, vanilla cream soda and black licorice. Powerful structure balanced with bright acidity and fine, persistent tannins for a wine with complexity, opulence and a long, satisfying finish.
