Wine Review: This dark ruby red blend from South Africa opens with a pomegranate and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and approachable. The flavor profile is a slightly smoky mild tart cherry with hints of plum and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and it moderate tannins linger slightly. This wine is a Good mushroom burger or marinated steak tip wine. Readers who like South Africa’s smoky style will enjoy this wine. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Spicy profile with ripe black fruit and cherries. Hints of violet flavours from the Viognier. Smooth and rich on the palate with soft tannins and good density. Made for easy drinking.
