Wine Review: This Tempranillo from Rioja opens with a mild plum and gentle prune bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black raspberry with notes of boysenberry, black cherry and oak. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are rather sticky. This is a good bacon burger wine. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Tempranillo aged 14 months in American oak, with partial malolactic in new French oak. Spice and leather complement the deep blackberry fruit and ferrous minerality of Rioja's red soils. Mouth-filling yet fresh, with the structure for improving in bottle for a number of years.
