Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored wine was well received by our mini tasting group. This wine opens with a musty and fragrant ripe boysenberry bouquet with some notes of blackberry as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, fruit forward, and easy to drink. Its flavor profile is black currant with notes of integrated oak and boysenberry. The finish id dry and its dusty tannins are a little sticky and linger a bit. The group agreed this wine would pair well with barbecue steak tips. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Breton's mature low-yielding estate vineyards give fruit with concentrated extract and acidity. Aged 22 months in oak and a further 12 in bottle prior to release. Bouquet of ripe red fruit is well integrated with toasty/balsamic notes, firm structure from a great vintage retaining plenty of stuffing for the cellar.
